•    Founded this worldwide chartering brokerage company specializing in drybulk shipping for ocean-going vessels with emphasis on Pacific and West Coast trade, provide clients with shipping estimations, calculations, and logistical consulting.
•    Clients include established agricultural trading houses, scrap metal recyclers, and other commodity resellers, including Schnitzer Steel Industries, ConAgra, Louis Dreyfus, etc.
•    Represent owners of U.S. controlled vessels assisting them with securing cargo and time charter engagements.
•    Recent transactions have included brokering 30,000 ton scrap shipment from Portland to Malaysia; 25,000 tons of pulses from Vancouver, B.C. to Calcutta, India; chartered vessel to load 50,000t iron ore for a Norwegian operator from Goa, India to China.

Fleet Chartering Manager, San Juan Navigation, 2006 to 2008
•    All-inclusive responsibility for marketing, negotiating, and closing chartering engagements for fleet of 25 ocean-going vessels ranging in size from 25,000 to 55,000 tons.  Clients included commercial ship owners and brokers worldwide.
•    Developed relationships with new clients; managed relationships with existing clients; reviewed all charter agreements; and helped to set all policies and procedures.
•    Moved to San Juan Navigation during corporate reorganization from Pacific Rim Shipbrokers, a closely affiliated entity.
Chartering Manager, Pacific Rim Shipbrokers, 1997 to 2006
•    Instrumental in developing ship brokering business for a new U.S. based ship operating company.
•    Established network of commercial relationships; represented Pacific Rim at trade conferences; and successfully built wide recognition of Pacific Rim’s and San Juan Navigation’s worldwide shipping services.
•    Worked closely with domestic and international clients to identify and find solutions for their shipping needs.
•    Developed extensive expertise with drafting, analyzing, negotiating, and executing a wide range of shipping agreements.
