BAINBRIDGE SHIPPING, Bainbridge Island, WA, 2009 to Present President, Ship Brokerage • Founded this worldwide chartering brokerage company specializing in drybulk shipping for ocean-going vessels with emphasis on Pacific and West Coast trade, provide clients with shipping estimations, calculations, and logistical consulting. • Clients include established agricultural trading houses, scrap metal recyclers, and other commodity resellers, including Schnitzer Steel Industries, ConAgra, Louis Dreyfus, etc. • Represent owners of U.S. controlled vessels assisting them with securing cargo and time charter engagements. • Recent transactions have included brokering 30,000 ton scrap shipment from Portland to Malaysia; 25,000 tons of pulses from Vancouver, B.C. to Calcutta, India; chartered vessel to load 50,000t iron ore for a Norwegian operator from Goa, India to China.
SAN JUAN NAVIGATION Pacific Rim Shipbrokers, Bainbridge Island, 1997 to 2008 Fleet Chartering Manager, San Juan Navigation, 2006 to 2008 • All-inclusive responsibility for marketing, negotiating, and closing chartering engagements for fleet of 25 ocean-going vessels ranging in size from 25,000 to 55,000 tons.
